Highland Village Virtual Tour is designed for single-player mode.
System Requirements
Windows® ME/2000/XP.CPU: Pentium II® 400 MHz/ AMD Athlon Processor
RAM: 64 MB RAM (128 MB RAM suggested)
Hard Drive Space: 34 MB HD space
Sound Card: DirectX® Sound Compatible
Video Card: OpenGL or DirectX® Compatible with 32 MB Memory (64 MB Memory suggested).
Highland Village Virtual Tour requires Microsoft DirectX® 8.1 or newer to be installed.
Installation
In this procedure, you will run the self-installing executable (HVVT_Installer.exe) to unpack and install the Highland Village Virtual Tour software:1. To begin the installation run the program HVVT_Installer.exe.
2. When the program starts you are presented with the Welcome screen. Click the "Next" push button to continue.
3. When the dialog box "Select Destination Directory" appears, you need to select which directory you want the software installed into. We recommend that you use the default directory.
Your computer system should now be ready for the Highland Village Virtual TOur; go to your start menu and select "All Programs". You should see the "HV_Virtual_Tour" link there.
Navigation
First, you should see the main menu; click on the start text.
When you enter the virtual world, use your left mouse button to move forward
Use the right mouse button to move backward
Move the mouse forward or backward to "look" up or down
Move the mouse left or right to move sideways
Press the "Esc" key on the keyboard to leave the tour.
At each doorway are links to the store via your webbrowser (note: this requires an internet connection).
Troubleshooting
Listed below are some troubleshooting issues and possible solutions or workarounds:
Problem: The software brings up a dialog saying it can't find a compatible display device.
Solution: Make sure the drivers for you graphics card are up to date. Highland Village Virtual Tour requires an OpenGL or DirectX® compatible graphics accelerator.
Problem: I get clicks and pops in the sounds.
Solution: Some onboard sound processors have problems with Highland Village Virtual Tour. Try updating your audio drivers or get a new sound card.
